- Special alloy having a thicker than normal flux coating

- The extra concentration of flux not only protects the core wire from overheating but it also produces large volumes of gas that will remove more metal per electrode

- The external coating melts at a reduced rate to the core wire

- When melted, the chemicals which form the coating, create a gas of intense velocity and cause a blasting action that blows away the molten metal and leaves a clean groove ready for welding

- It will remove porous, cracked, fatigued or worn metal and provides for a perfect bonding of the weld metal

- No oxygen is required
